Hawkins Harbor is hosting its annual volleyball tournament, and coffee shop manager Brinley Brubaker can’t wait to attend. What starts out as a friendly competition quickly turns to murder when a player on one of the teams is found dead near the net.

When the man who takes care of her aunt’s lawn becomes the main suspect, Brinley and her amateur sleuthing friends will do whatever they can to prove his innocence. 

Searching for the killer isn’t easy. The more the gang learns about the recently deceased, the more people they find with reasons for wanting him dead.
